Seeing my beloved mum got sick due to her brain tumor and suffered from all sorts of complication: diabetes, cholesterol level etc., it struck me hard and I have become health conscious ever since. I am not super-active in sport but I do try to keep a good diet and make sure my family has the essential nutrient intake.
My children, especially my daughter, had severe eczema when they were little and I was heartbroken to see them suffer. I have looked into many ways to help her, and one of them is to strengthen her immunity system. So, in addition to making sure she has a good diet, I have sought different supplements such as Manuka honey (UMF+) from New Zealand and probiotic. Recently, I was introduced to SHIRUTO by a friend from overseas. Shiruto is manufactured by the same health company (BE International) as Aulora garments and have received numerous good testimonies from the customers.
At first, I bought a box to try. It is made of natural botanical ingredients, which is great as I do not want to feed my family with chemical (that wouldn’t be really healthy, would it?). It tastes great – it came in individual sachet of powder which has a fruity sourly taste, and it can be consumed directly into the mouth. Then, I bought more to stock up. Although I cannot scientifically prove the effectiveness of Shiruto, I noticed my children haven’t fallen sick throughout the whole winter, and their skin condition have furthered improved. In the past, my husband would be sick, lying on bed for at least a week if he catches a cold but lately, he hasn’t been ill or recovered over a day or two. We are happy that we have a strong immunity especially in this uneasy period of Covid-19 crisis. Supplement is definitely not a replacement of healthy diet, but it may be a good choice to add another layer of shield to our body from numerous pathogens.
With my scientific education background and curiosity, I ought to find out the science behind Shiruto. So, I went on and did some research on it. I found that the studies were very interesting and applicable to various health conditions. Continue to scroll down if you want to find out more about it!
Immunity refers to all of the mechanisms used by our bodies to gain protection against pathogen such as bacteria, fungi, viruses, etc. Our immunity consists of 2 lines of defence: innate immunity and adaptive immunity. A lot of research has been focused on adaptive immunity with antibodies, but it takes time for the antibody to reach a sufficient level. What happens before that? This is where the first line immune defence (innate immunity) plays a role. One of the principal components in this line of defence is macrophages.
In 2011, Drs. Jules A. Hoffmann and Bruce A. Beutler were awarded Nobel Prize for their discovery on innate immunity, in particular the important role of TOLL protein (e.g. TLR4) serving as a sensor of the first line of host defence to recognize infectious agent. How is that relevant to Shiruto? Continue reading...
Shiruto is a vitamin for immunity. It strengthens our immune system to protect us from numerous pathogens by activating macrophages.
What are macrophages? Macrophages are one of the important components in the innate immunity which provides the first line of defense in protecting our body from infection. Macrophages are not only part of the defence mechanism against infections but also play an essential role in the maintenance of homeostasis (balance) in our bodies. Hence, maintaining macrophage functioning is important to protect us from various stresses.
Shiruto contains unique ingredient IP-PA1.
What is IP-PAI? Dr. Inagawa and his collaborators first discovered IP-IPA1, a low molecular weight (5 kDa) lipopolysaccharide (LPS) derived from symbiotic Gram-negative bacteria in wheat and other food plants. It has been shown to induce activation of macrophages (Nishizawa,1992), mainly via TLR-4 (Akira, 2004). In the other words, it is an important ingredient to have. Other ingredients include blueberry powder, Maltitol, Vitamin C, baker’s yeast extract and silicon dioxide.
Several studies have demonstrated that IP-PA1 bind to the Toll-Like Receptor 4 which consequently activates macrophages and hence its protective effect against infection and diseases.
Patented Fermentation and Extraction Process – The quality of shiruto was guaranteed by using the unique and patented processing method to ensure the optimal performance of IP-PA1.
A number of studies have demonstrated the effect of IP-PA1 on various conditions and diseases:
Macrophages help eliminate the tissue's peroxidized LDL, maintain intracellular cholesterol levels, and delay the onset of atherosclerosis.
IP-PA1 is the FIRST and ONLY Ingredient recognised by the CIITRA (Control of Innate Immunity Technology Research Association) in Japan
